Adding Premium Processing to a case

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offers Premium Processing (Form I-907) for certain filings, which provides faster adjudication during case processing.

For eligible cases, premium processing ensures that the case will be adjudicated in 15 business days for most classifications. There are certain filings, which have different timelines for adjudication under premium processing. You can view all filings eligible for Premium Processing under the section Who is eligible? on the USCIS website here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/all-forms/how-do-i-request-premium-processing

💡Premium Processing is a government upgrade offered by USCIS. This does not apply to the processing timeline for the legal team at CIP PC to prepare the filing.

How to add premium processing

Employers are able to add premium processing as an add on to an active case in the Envoy Global platform.

If employees are interested in adding premium processing to a case, please contact Envoy Customer Experience and the team will assist with upgrading the case once they have the necessary approvals.

Premium processing can be added to a case after it's been sent to the government once the legal team receives the original Receipt Notice. Employees are notified once the Receipt Notice has been received and the Receipt Number is added to the case.

Tracking a case with premium processing

The legal team generally expects to receive a confirmation email from USCIS in about 2 to 3 business days from when the premium processing upgrade is received. The legal team will post the full content of any emailed updates to the Communication Center so that you are kept up to date.

💡 Please note that these confirmation emails from USCIS are a courtesy and are not guaranteed to arrive.

If a case that has had a premium processing upgrade applied receives an RFE, the Premium Processing upgrade will continue to apply to the RFE response once sent. This means that the RFE response should be adjudicated in the same premium processing timeline
