For the FY 2027 H-1B Cap lottery, USCIS intends to announce selected registrants by March 31, 2026. If a beneficiaries' registration is selected in the H-1B Cap lottery, the legal team will notify the sponsoring employer and update the case in Envoy Global so that the selection appears in the Case Details. The legal team will work with the sponsoring employer to notify selected beneficiaries and continue preparing the H-1B filing.
The USCIS website will leave any unselected registrants in a ‘pending’ status if that registration has not been selected. Until a case is confirmed as ‘not selected’ on the USCIS website, unselected registrants’ cases will remain ‘In Process’ in the Envoy platform until the legal team receives a definitive answer from USCIS on whether the case is selected. Typically, this occurs once USCIS confirms that there will be no further lottery selections.
