Adding Administrators to your myUSCIS Account

MyUSCIS accounts are used by sponsoring employers and the legal team at CIP to register beneficiaries for the H-1B Cap lottery and electronically file casework. This guide is intended for employers looking to add Administrators to their company myUSCIS organizational account.

USCIS recommends that all Company Accounts/Organizational Accounts in myUSCIS have a minimum of two Administrators. We recommend using an alias as one of the Administrators such as immigration@companyname.com if you would like multiple users to have access from one login.

💡Watch the video below provided by USCIS to learn more. We also have step-by-step instructions and an attached guide to help you through this process.

To add Administrators, jump to 5:30 - 8:47.

Add a Company Administrator

  1. The current Company Administrator should sign into the company myUSCIS Organizational account here: https://myaccount.uscis.gov/. If you need to recover your account, view this article on Account Recovery
  2. Once you are logged in, select Manage Company Group under My Company.
  3. Add the new Company Administrator's first and last name, email address, and select the Administrator option. There are two different user roles that one can hold in a myUSCIS Company Account: Administrator or Member. Note: You're welcome to have as many of either as you'd like, but note that the Member role is limited and you want to have at least two representatives from your company in the Administrator role.
  4. Select the Send Request button. The invitation will be active for seven (7) calendar days.
  5. The new Company Administrator will receive an email from USCIS that they have been invited to join the Company group.
  6. They should select the Sign in or create an account button.
  7. The new Company Administrator will then be able to sign into their new account on the myUSCIS website. Input the Verification Code, once received by USCIS and select the Submit button.
  8. Once into the new account, select the My Invitations and Requests Page link.
  9. Select the View Invitation link and review the Company Profile information.
  10. Review and acknowledge the applicable sections then select the Accept Invitation button.
  11. The page will reload and confirm that the new Company Administrator is now active.
