A series of documents are requested by the legal team to support each case opened in the Envoy platform. Documents associated with an active case should be uploaded to the Supporting Documents section within the case. We recommend uploading all documents requested if they are applicable to you; however, the legal team will mark some documents as required if they are critical for case processing.
To upload a document, drag and drop your documents to the appropriate placeholder, or click on the placeholder directly to be prompted to upload a document from your browser.
If a document is already uploaded to a placeholder, and you would like to upload additional documents, you can follow the same steps as uploading one document.
You can upload documents at any time during case processing to the Supporting Documents section. After the case is submitted for initial review, the legal team will be notified whenever a new document has been uploaded to the case.
Please note that all placeholders will lock when a case is marked as Complete.
Required documents for case processing
The legal team may mark certain documents as Required for Case Processing in red under the document title. If a document is required, you will see the request to upload the document when you click to view all action items within a case.
💡If you are unable to provide a required document, post a message to the legal team in the Communication Center so they can advise on an acceptable alternate document.
When a new document is uploaded to a case, the placeholder will be marked as Pending Attorney Review. When the attorney has reviewed and approved the document, the marking will update to Attorney Approved in green text.
The legal team may review a document and determine that they need more information. If the legal team requires additional documentation for the case that was not an initial placeholder, you will be notified, and new placeholders will be provided in the Supporting Documents section.
💡We encourage you to frequently log into your Envoy account to check on active casework as the legal team may request additional information from you. The legal team may leave a note on the document placeholder if they have specific instructions for the document request.
