The legal team will draft the necessary forms and letters and then move the case to the Reviewing Forms and Letters status. Depending on the case, you and/or your sponsoring employer may be asked to review and approve the forms.
💡 For the best experience, complete the case forms and letters using a desktop browser. The forms and letters are not currently supported on the Envoy mobile app.
The legal team drafts the forms and letters needed for the case during the Initial Information Gathering stage based on the questionnaire and case documents provided. The forms undergo several layers of internal review and then are provided to you and/or your sponsoring employer for review to ensure that the information is accurate.
Reviewing the forms and letters
If any forms or letters require your review, an action item will be added to your account. You’ll need to click into each form to complete the required actions such as reviewing the content or uploading signature pages.
💡 For employment-based casework, your sponsoring employer is responsible for reviewing most of the forms and letters. It’s standard for some cases to not require any form action from you.
Requesting a change to the forms and letters
If you need to make a change to the information in the form(s), you can request changes within the content of the form by toggling to the Edit feature. Make edits in the interactive version of the form. Once the edits have been made, you can click the Approve button to the right of the form.
Some forms may prompt you to Request Revisions instead of the edit option. If revisions are needed, provide the edits in the dialogue box provided.
💡The legal team will review the edits made and make changes to the final version of the form. The edits will not automatically update in the PDF preview of the form.
Blank fields on the forms and letters
It is common for some of the fields on the form to be left blank by the legal team. There is no need to complete these fields unless the legal team has notified you directly that they would like additional information.
Providing a signature on the forms
A scanned copy of an original signature must be provided for some case forms. For support on how to provide an original signature, please post a message to the legal team in your Communication Center.
