Case status indicated as Attorney Review

During the Attorney Review stage of a case, the legal team will be reviewing any information provided by the employee or other parties involved, such as the sponsoring employer and begin or continuing preparing the case. This stage of case processing can vary depending on the nature of the case but the initial attorney review stage, after the questionnaire and documents are provided, typically takes the longest.

Initial attorney review stage

The case will move to the initial attorney review stage once the questionnaire is complete and all required supporting documents have been provided. During this stage, the legal team will review the questionnaire and documents using the information provided to begin drafting the forms and letters for the case.

The legal team will add action items to the case if they require more information, and you will be notified.

💡 The initial attorney review stage typically takes the longest due to the amount of information that must be reviewed and the preparation of the forms and letters. You can view the progress of the case on the timeline within the case.

Subsequent attorney review stages

Each time the legal team requests additional information from you or another party, the case must return to the legal team’s review so they can determine if the details are sufficient for case preparation. A case can move to subsequent attorney review stages several times during case preparation depending on the information provided and additional supporting information needed.
